Pear Tart

Notes

Preheat convection oven to 350°F

Ingredients

1 ea. Pie dough, 6"x6"
½ c. Pears, canned, sliced, drained
½ tsp. Pear seasoning, sub recipe
1 tsp. Almonds, toasted, chopped
2 tbsp. Honey egg wash, sub recipe

Equipment

  • 1/2 cup measuring
  • Measuring spoons
  • Foodservice gloves
  • Pastry brush
  • Oven

Preparation

  1. Take one pie crust and place the pears in the center.
  2. Sprinkle the seasoning and almonds on top.
  3. Fold every flat side and corner (total of eight times) into the center to form a bowl.
  4. Brush the outside with honey egg wash.
  5. Place on a ½ sheet tray lined with parchment paper and bake at 350°F in a convection oven with low fan for 14 to 17 minutes.
