Ingredients

5 Onions, red, washed, rings, sliced 1/4 inch
as needed Blended Oil, canola and olive
to taste Salt, kosher

Equipment

  • Grill
  • Mixing bowl
  • Tongs
  • Foodservice gloves
  • Air tight container

Preparation

Wearing foodservice gloves.

Pre-heat the grill.

1) Season onions well in oil and salt being careful to maintain the intact rings.

2) Mark onions on the grill until grill marks are well defined.

3) Transfer to sheet tray lined with parchment and cool down at room temperature.

4) Store in an air tight container and stored under refrigeration until ready to use.
